My letter to Single Parents

There are so many single parents out there and some people may not approve of that. But from what I've seen single parents are some of the most loving, motivated and hard working people I know. Most of them didn't go into this thing called parenthood alone by choice. So some people need to take a step back and see these amazing parents for who they really are.

Now I am NOT by any means saying I know or understand how any single parent may feel. Because I don't and hope to never have to. But I am saying that you all deserve more encouragement and understanding from people then you sometimes get. So that is why I am writing this!

Dear Single Parent,

You are doing a beautiful job. You have taken on both roles of being mommy and daddy. You are your child's everything and they look up to you. You are super mom/dad because you are either working long hours, more then one job, going to school (or all of the above) just to make a brighter future for your children. Just know one day they will appreciate all you are doing for them. Don't give up because you CAN do this and your doing awesome.

Not only do you do all of those things but you make time to do special little things for your children. You are the one who wakes them up in morning, who goes on little adventures during the day, who  handle their tantrums, who feed them, who bathes them and tuck them in at night. What you do as single parent EVERYDAY, I can barely handle by myself for one day.

So don't you ever let someone tell you that you aren't doing a great job. Because if they are not a single parent they will never know where you're at and how much strength you portray everyday doing both roles as mommy and daddy. Like I said I do not and will not pretend to know what it's like to be a single parent. But I do see my friends and family members who are single parents and they are some of the STRONGEST people I know.

So I hope this letter is encouraging and uplifting. Because not everybody can do what you do.

God Bless,
Casey

Life is what you make of it! (Life update)

In life we have to take control and make of it what we want. We have to believe God has good things in store and he has his hand in everything we do. If you are not happy YOU have the power to change things, nobody else can do that for you!

As a stay at home mom, I miss working so much. I love getting to spend time with my sweet little man everyday and I don't take it for granted because I know not every mommy has this opportunity. But like I said I do miss working so much! SO I am happy to announce that I GOT THE JOB that I had an interview for last week. So along with my once a week job at my church I also have a Nanny job that will be 2-3 days a week. I will start hopefully within the next couple of months! The best part of all of this is I can bring my sweet son with me.

Speaking of my sweet son I can't believe he's going to 1 here in a couple of months. He is growing up so much and into such a sweet, kindhearted, happy, smiley little toddler. He says mamama, dadada, yiyite = light, duck = duck & buck. He pulls himself up and walks a little long the couch. And last but not least eats like a TEENAGE boy. Not even kidding, my little man can pack SO much food away. It's completely mind blowing...lol! His daddy and I as so lucky to have him in our lives!

Zack and I we are doing wonderful. Zack has been working a lot these last couple of weeks. Which has been amazing since things have been really slow for him since November. But it was so nice having him home for that stretch of time. I feel like it really strengthened our relationship not only has husband and wife, but as parents as well. I think he gained a new respect for what I do day in and day out! :-) Can I please just say I feel very blessed and lucky to have a husband like him. Because even when I am being "difficult" Or "emotional" he is there to encourage me, hold me and point me to the Lord.

So all I can say is that I am so happy with life right now and feel very blessed! Life is truly what you make of it and with the Lords help my life is looking pretty exciting right now. 2015 is full of wonderful new, fun things! So excited to be a live and breathing each day. Don't take life for granted it goes by so fast!

Love you  all and thanks for taking the time to read this!
